Biking around Buenos Aires

I`ve heard that some people think that Buenos Aires is not a friendly city. I thought that those were losers who lacked of social skills and charm( among other things). I discovered that Buenos Aires can become a very unfriendly city. And that`s when you ride a bike.
Apparently, our streets belong to crazy drivers, killer cabs, and furious buses. If you are not between those categories you become an enemy that has to be destroyed.
What`s with these people? I mean, why do they think that they have more right than me to use the streets?
The only good thing is that before killing you they give you a lot of warnings. For example, they honk a nice melody, they shout and scream in unknown languages, they can even try to politely help you to get out of their way (I mean, they move into your lane and you have to go to the sidewalk, unless you decide is your time to go to heaven- or hell).
Anyway, I think I made my point. Luckily, I was with a very cool client, who was kind of guiding me during this extreme biking experience (he saved my life at least 2 times). He drives a Vespa, and he is kind of used to crazy drivers in his country.
Anyway, if you get killed while you are in my tour, you get a refund, so don`t worry.
That`s it.

I don't mind the drivers, it's the rain-gutter thingies that just look so hungry for bike tires that freak me out. 'Cause if they get you, THEN they will feed you to the angry traffic.

those bastards!!! I know what you mean! You know what would be cool, if all the bikers in Buenor Aires organize a protest, cause we deserve to bike around as much as we want without the fear of dying

I agree, though I don't think I'd make much of an imposing figure with my giant turquoise girl's bike with a basket. I'll happily join the fight though. Maybe I'll fill the basket with weaponry.
